Their brief bio

The two founders, Sarmed and Ahmad, are graduates of the National College of Arts in Lahore, which was established in 1875 as the Mayo School of Arts by the British Viceroy of India, Lord Mayo. After finishing their studies, they teamed up to start their own company. Sarmed has a master’s degree in film direction and screenwriting from the UK, while Ahmad has earned an MPhil in visual communication.

How did they meet

It was the first day of college when they were the only two who were late for the orientation. Later getting caught and ragged by the seniors, they developed a special bond. Ever since they are friends.

What pushed them to this start-up

It’s something they knew from a very first student project they did together. Going into business as friends was a natural decision and the next step in their careers. The opportunity presented itself, and they felt it was too good to turn down.

What skills and attributes do each of them bring in

Sarmed is innovative while Ahmad is more technically driven which makes them a perfect team. They are involved in a creative industry which has a lot of innovatory and technical aspects requiring proper attention. They both understand when it is needed to give each other space or time off. The advantage of having two of them allows to divide responsibilities which mean they don’t step on each other’s toes.

How they maintain a balance between their friendship and the business

The key to maintaining a great friendship is maturity and respect, this ensures that the relationship is kept strong and solid through good and bad times. They also make sure that they have their fair share of fun.
